Retail Sector Employers´ Equality Network
In October 2004 the Employment Development Division established an Equality Forum for the Retail Sector. The Retail Network was established by the Comission to provide employers with expert advice in relation to the development and review of their employment policies and practices from an equality perspective.
Current members of the Retail Network include Iceland Foods Plc, Tesco Plc, Sainsburys, Primark, Henderson Group, Winemark, Marks & Spencer, Co-Op, Dunnes Stores, IKEA, House of Fraser, Homebase, Botanic Inns Ltd, ebenhams, Asda and others.
The Commission is currently working with a number of network members on an individual basis to review their employment policies and procedures through the development and implementation of a voluntary Employment Equality Action Plan.
