Campaign highlights changes to disability discrimination law

The Equality Commission organised a campaign called ´you are now covered´ to highlight changes to disability discrimination law which were introduced under the Disability Discrimination (NI) Order 2006. Some of the changes which came into effect on 31 October 2007 affect people who are diagnosed with cancer, HIV or MS and those who have mental ill health. The campaign was developed in partnership with a number of support organisations and included information guides, promotional leaflets, events and radio advertising.
